My DIY play kitchen turned out way cuter than I thought! My Mother-in-Law was getting rid of her old entertainment center and I thought this could be a fun project with my little girl.
These I used for the knobs on the stove. I spray painted them black. I used a white pen to write numbers on them.
The wooden circles I spray painted silver and used to make the stove top burners. While those were drying I broke popsicle sticks in half and spray painted those black.
I bought a cheap bouquet of flowers and put them in a small tin. I placed tape across the top to hold them upright and to look full.
Simple and so cute!
My Dad came over to help me with the handy man stuff. It’s best to keep me away from electric tools ha. My Dad took off all the doors and cut out a circle for the sink.He put a piece of wood on the back of the entertainment center. He also put the same wood on the two long cabinet doors.
For the oven door, my Dad changed the hinges to open like a real oven.
Next my little girl painted the doors.
Here’s my Dad working hard. Loved having coffee breaks and bonding with him 🙂
I laid out painters tape and spray painted with purple to make the sink tiles.
For the picture I just spray painted some poster board and cut out a window. Those are old curtains that I cut short. I tied it back with some pink ribbon.
1:43 means “I Love You” 🙂
She LOVES the empty soap bottle and flower dish scrubber. The faucet she loves because it is like “Mama’s kitchen.” We remodeled our bathroom and I saved it. I used a dog bowl for the sink.
We put two hooks on the side to hold her apron and chef hat.
I made a magnetic chalkboard on the other side.
The oven has a $0.99 cent basket that I sprayed silver to be like an oven rack.
Fridge handles are from my bird’s old play stand. I just sprayed them black and they worked out perfect.
From the beginning to the final product.
Here’s my little princess enjoying herself 🙂
